Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Depots and Defense Plants
Confirmed
In Short: Ukrainian forces reported hitting four oil depots and two defense plants in Russia overnight, targeting infrastructure that supports Russian military operations in Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said its drones struck the Edelweiss-95 and Din-Yug-Oil depots in Krasnodar Krai, causing fires at both locations.
According to the SBU, these facilities are integral to Russia’s fuel infrastructure and disabling them could disrupt fuel supplies for Russian forces.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces also used long-range capabilities to target two defense plants in the Tula and Voronezh regions, emphasizing that these strikes were a response to Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure.
Zelensky added that Ukrainian forces also targeted facilities in the Kaluga and Oryol regions used for drone attacks against Ukraine, and directly hit Russian forces in the Bryansk region.
Russian officials reported intercepting 254 Ukrainian drones overnight and confirmed damage and casualties in several regions, including two people killed and 12 injured in the TANECO attack in Krasnodar Krai.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported additional strikes on Russian military targets, including drone command posts, a Rubicon drone depot, and military supply facilities in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The Rubicon unit, a specialized Russian defense ministry drone warfare center established in 2024, was among the targets, with Ukrainian forces striking areas where personnel from the unit were concentrated.
Ukraine’s General Staff said disrupting the storage, preparation, and launch of attack drones can significantly reduce Russia’s ability to conduct drone strikes against targets in Ukraine.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko noted that the city lacks the necessary weapons to intercept Russian drones and missiles, highlighting the ongoing challenges in defending against such attacks.
