Apple announced today that Siri AI will gain support for four additional languages: Chinese (Traditional), Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese. This expansion is expected to be available by the end of the year, likely with the release of iOS 27.3 in December.

According to 9to5Mac, the new Siri AI features will be part of iOS 27.3, which is expected to ship in December. This update will bring the total number of supported languages to six, including English.

The new Siri AI update, released on October 26, 2026, allows the assistant to recall past conversations and provide more relevant responses based on a wider range of personal information.

In addition to the new language support, Siri AI can now switch between languages during a conversation. For instance, users can start a conversation in English and switch to Portuguese, French, or other supported languages, with Siri responding in the chosen language.

However, users will still face an issue with no bilingual support when speaking with Siri. If a user switches languages mid-conversation, Siri may not understand the change and continue in the original language.

The update also includes improvements to Messages, such as Suggestions, and Apple Music rebranding. Additionally, Apple Pencil support is now available for the foldable iPhone Duo in apps like Notes and Preview.

Apple is rolling out version 27.2 of its software lineup, which includes Siri AI conversation recall, support for five more languages, and new controls over access to apps. The update also adds support for ASL and BSL on a selection of movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app.

The new Siri AI can respond to natural language requests, such as explaining what’s on the screen and searching the user’s past personal context and history, including old emails and text messages.

Apple’s latest software releases also include macOS 27.2, which has introduced a cosmetic change to Apple Music. The company says these new features will be included at no additional cost with its upcoming software releases and will support all of the languages currently available for Apple Intelligence.

While the new Siri AI features are expected to enhance user experience, some users may still encounter issues with language switching and bilingual support.

The new Siri AI update is part of Apple’s ongoing efforts to make its products more inclusive and accessible to a wider range of users around the world.

Apple’s expansion of Siri AI language support is expected to significantly increase the number of users who can benefit from the assistant’s features.
