The update also introduces Apple Pencil support for the iPhone Duo and expands Siri AI language support, as reported by Analytics Insight.

Alongside iOS 27.2, Apple has released several other software updates, including iOS 26.7.2, iOS 18.7.11, iPadOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, tvOS 26.6.1, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, and visionOS 27.2, as confirmed by YTECHB.

Thepcenthusiast reports that Apple has introduced a new smart home display, HomeView, which combines a 7-inch touchscreen, Siri AI, FaceTime, music playback, and smart home controls. The device uses an A18 chip and a security architecture called Secure Exclaves to process facial and voice recognition data.

According to Abc7Chicago, the HomeView can recognize faces and adapt to different household members, pulling information from their iPhones. The display can reach 500 nits during the day and dim to just 0.3 nits at night, as noted by Thepcenthusiast.

Apple has also announced the HomePod mini 2 and an updated Apple TV 4K, as reported by Thecliffnews (India). These devices are part of Apple's plan to unify entertainment, digital security, and smart device control within a single integrated platform in the home.

Rivieraradio (Monaco) reports that the HomeView smart display is priced at $299, with no European launch date yet announced.

The Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 have new Audio Intelligence features, including Sound Recognition, Music Recognition, Live Rewind, and Siri Recap, as confirmed by MacRumors and The Verge.

Apple says it can’t access users’ raw audio from its new Audio Intelligence features, as stated by The Verge. The company also released a document outlining how it plans to balance AI “ambient listening” and users’ privacy.

Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 12 (starting at $399) and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 ($799) are now open, with availability starting on September 18, as reported by Techspot.

9to5Mac also found evidence that Apple may be preparing a demo mode for its forthcoming ‘HomePad’ smart home device, though the feature currently only supports Apple-developed actions.
