Reddit is rolling out two new feeds, For You and Following, similar to those on TikTok, to help users discover content and communities more easily.

The For You feed will recommend posts from subreddits users follow, as well as algorithmic recommendations based on their interests.

The Following feed will display posts only from communities users have joined.

These changes follow recent platform updates that eliminated RSS feeds and limited access to the classic desktop layout, Old Reddit.

In a blog post, Reddit said the new feeds are part of its experiments to help people more intentionally explore Reddit.

The For You feed aims to introduce users to popular discussions, trending topics, and niche communities they might not have discovered otherwise.

The Following feed allows users to focus on the communities they have actively chosen to join.

The new tabs will roll out to Reddit users worldwide over the next few weeks.

The update reflects Reddit’s effort to make community discovery a clearer part of its homepage.

Users will be able to switch between the two feeds at any time, giving them a choice between a broader view of what’s on Reddit and one made up only of what they’ve curated for themselves.

The new layout gives discovery its own dedicated feed, helping users find others who share their interests and encounter perspectives that broaden their own.

The change is intended to make it easier for users to explore new discussions, encounter different viewpoints, and participate in communities that match their interests.
