NBC Orders Full 18-Episode Season for 'Line of Fire'
· Confirmed
In Short: NBC has handed a full 18-episode season order to its Monday night freshman drama hit 'Line of Fire,' marking a significant success for the network.

Created and written by Joshua Safran, 'Line of Fire' follows a family of law enforcement agents who bridge personal differences and cross professional boundaries as they tackle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice.
According to the network, 'Line of Fire' has seen NBC's best DVR lift for a premiere episode in more than three years, since the 'Night Court' reboot in January 2023.
The series has also outperformed its predecessor 'Brilliant Minds' in both linear and cross-platform ratings, averaging about 5.06 million viewers after seven days of linear viewing, a 70 percent increase over its same-day average of 2.98 million.
NBC's decision to order an additional five episodes brings the total season order to 18, which is considered a full season by 2026 standards.
The network's fall 2026 schedule includes 'Line of Fire' as a Monday night hit, with new episodes airing at 10 p.m. every week.
Guest stars in 'Line of Fire' include Sam Waterston, who played District Attorney Jack McCoy on 'Law & Order' for over 400 episodes.
Peter Krause, known for his role in 'Six Feet Under,' plays Secret Service agent Mike Hollingsworth in the series.
The show's creator, Joshua Safran, has hinted at major surprises and cliffhangers in each episode, making it one of the most exciting TV series he has worked on.
The series blends political thriller elements with family drama, as seen in the episode 'Cul-de-Sac,' which turns two old mysteries into immediate threats.
While the season finale date has yet to be announced, fans can catch up on the most recent season of 'Line of Fire' through the NBC App.
