Local sub-prefect Agathe Cury from the BBC (United Kingdom) stated that the collision did not disrupt freight traffic or Eurostar passenger traffic through the tunnel, except for a brief stoppage to allow the injured to be evacuated.

The Guardian (United Kingdom) reported that the bus did not overturn and remained upright, but the shock and collision caused injuries to the people involved.

Photos published by local French newspaper La Voix du Nord, as reported by BBC (United Kingdom), showed a small bus with damage to its front and side standing alongside a train, surrounded by emergency workers.

Eurostar trains, as confirmed by both BBC (United Kingdom) and The Guardian (United Kingdom), will continue to run as expected, unaffected by the incident.

The Channel Tunnel, which opened in 1994, carried 3.4 million vehicles last year along with millions of Eurostar passengers, according to The Guardian (United Kingdom).

The shuttle service through the tunnel was suspended for 90 minutes before gradually resuming by late evening, as stated by The Guardian (United Kingdom).

Both Arabnews (Saudi Arabia) and BBC (United Kingdom) reported that the incident involved a minibus transporting workers who were about to board Le Shuttle.

The BBC (United Kingdom) also reported that the bus did not overturn, but the shock and collision caused injuries to the people involved.

Both outlets agreed that the incident occurred at the loading platform of the Eurotunnel near Calais, resulting in injuries to 19 people, including the driver and 18 passengers.
