Amazon has unveiled two new personal AI devices, the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse, expanding its lineup of ambient AI gadgets.

The Bee Frontier, priced at $74.99, is an upgraded version of the original Bee Pioneer, featuring an ultra-soft silicone band that can be worn on the wrist or attached to clothing.

The Bee Eclipse, available for $99.99, is a magnetic attachment that can be affixed to the back of a smartphone, offering similar always-on AI capabilities.

Both devices are designed to transcribe conversations and provide summaries, reminders, and personalized shopping recommendations.

According to Amazon, the Bee devices use a private computing security architecture that does not store raw audio from conversations.

Users can delete their conversations and transcripts at any time, and the devices are designed so that no one, including Amazon, can access the data.

The Bee Frontier offers seven days of battery life, while the Bee Eclipse boasts more than 21 days of battery life on a single charge.

To unlock advanced features such as integration with Alexa+ and Amazon.com, users must subscribe to the Bee Pro service, which costs $11.99 per month.

The Bee devices are positioned to compete with other AI devices like the Plaud Note and Pocket, but at a lower price point.

Amazon acquired Bee, a San Francisco startup, in July 2025, and these new devices represent the first major product launch since the acquisition.

The Bee Frontier is available in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage colors, while the Bee Eclipse comes in Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush trims.

Both devices are designed to be worn or attached hands-free, allowing users to document moments without manual input.

What this adds

The new Bee devices are designed to solve the problem of remembering important details from conversations and turning them into useful insights and reminders.

The Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse offer a more personal and integrated approach to AI, providing users with a hands-free way to manage their daily tasks and interactions.

These devices are part of Amazon's ongoing expansion into the AI gadget market, following the success of its Alexa smart speakers.

The Bee devices are designed to be user-friendly and secure, with features that prioritize privacy and convenience.
