Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, was briefly hospitalized after suffering a non-life-threatening head injury at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

According to multiple reports, Combs was transported to a hospital around 1 a.m. and was later returned to the prison.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses, which began in October 2025.

Sources at the prison said that Combs was moved out of the facility for a medical emergency, and he was reportedly taken back to the prison in the early hours of Sunday, October 11.

Combs' spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, released a statement to People, saying, 'We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.'

The incident comes after a series of reports alleging that Combs has paid fellow inmates for contraband and special treatment, including access to antidepressants and meals prepared by other inmates.

In September, NBC News reported that Combs had paid thousands of dollars to inmates for Hennessy cognac, cellphones, and other services, including Chinese-style massages.

Following the publication of these reports, Combs was sanctioned by prison guards for 'disruptive conduct' and was stripped of 41 days of good conduct time, delaying his release from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028.

Combs was ordered to pay NBCUniversal nearly $500,000 in attorneys’ fees after he sued the company for the documentary 'Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.'

Despite the scrutiny, Combs' lawyer, Juda Engelmayer, stated in a June Us cover story that 'He’s focused on the appeal and looking back at his life and trying to figure out ways to improve and be a better person.'

What this adds

The reports of Combs' head injury and his ongoing legal and disciplinary issues add another layer to the scrutiny he faces while serving his sentence.
