Israel’s National Security Council (NSC) has issued an alert for Israelis and Jews abroad, warning of potential attacks on the third anniversary of the Hamas-led invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023.

The NSC urged Israelis and Jews to avoid destinations under its highest Level 4 travel warning, including Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland, and Egypt, as well as the Sinai Peninsula, citing severe security threats.

The statement advised against posting on social media any content that reflects service in the security forces, including the Israel Defense Forces and police.

Jews and Israelis were also encouraged to refrain from speaking Hebrew in crowded places, stay away from demonstrations, and avoid large gatherings, particularly in locations where tensions are elevated.

The NSC noted that alongside demonstrations and disturbances expected in various countries, there is an increased risk of terrorist activity surrounding the anniversary of the massacre.

Gen. Eyal Zamir, Israel Police Commissioner Daniel Levy, and Shin Bet chief David Zini held an assessment at Zamir’s office in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to discuss preparations for the sensitive period ahead of the Knesset election.

The security chiefs detailed efforts to improve and strengthen defenses, combat terror groups, and address nationalist crime.

Anti-Israel activists held a rally ahead of the game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Real Madrid for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague in Madrid.
