Roman Morello showcased his guitar skills during the performance, playing his electric guitar behind his back, an instrument adorned with a call to action for homeless rights.

The performance took place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House, where Kimmel’s Brooklyn shows are being taped.

Morello was originally scheduled to perform alongside Bruce Springsteen, but Springsteen dropped out due to a scheduling conflict.

In addition to 'Soldier in the Army of Love,' Morello's band The Nightwatchman has three additional titles on the all-genre national albums chart.
