Internet providers Pavutyna and UTELS reported significant network failures following the strikes. Pavutyna said a data center it uses was damaged, leading to a large-scale network failure and temporary loss of internet access for some subscribers.
UTELS also reported damage to a Kyiv data center housing its main equipment, exacerbating the internet disruption.
Despite explosions near Kyiv’s Central Railway Station, Ukrzaliznytsia confirmed that the station itself was not damaged and passenger traffic continued.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia’s online tracking service, several trains were running more than six hours late, with some services delayed by more than nine hours as of Wednesday afternoon.
At least two people were killed and 25 others injured in Kyiv, including 17 who required hospitalization, according to city authorities.
Russia launched 161 drones against Ukraine during the broader overnight attack, including 82 jet-powered Shahed-type drones, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.
