Leaked iPhone 20 Pro Display Specs Hint at Minor Size Increases
Confirmed
In Short: The resolution increases track closely with the rumored increases in physical display size, suggesting Apple likely plans to keep roughly the same 460 ppi pixel density as the iPhone 18 Pro models.
Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station has shared early iPhone 20 Pro display specifications, revealing a 6.41-inch screen with a resolution of approximately 2,686 × 1,236 pixels for the iPhone 20 Pro, while the iPhone 20 Pro Max is said to have a 6.96-inch display with a resolution of around 2,912 × 1,340 pixels.
Echoing previous claims, the leaker says Apple is testing a 'borderless quad-curved' display design, with the screen curving away on all four sides.
For comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max feature 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches respectively, with resolutions of 2,622 × 1,206 pixels and 2,868 × 1,320 pixels.
The resolution increases track closely with the rumored increases in physical display size, suggesting Apple likely plans to keep roughly the same 460 ppi pixel density as the iPhone 18 Pro models.
Digital Chat Station previously suggested the 6.96-inch display on the iPhone 20 Pro Max would likely be marketed as a 7-inch panel if it reaches production.
Apple last increased the size of its premium iPhone displays with the iPhone 16 Pro lineup in 2024, growing from 6.1 to 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and from 6.7 to 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The leaked dimensions for the iPhone 20 Pro models suggest only a modest increase in overall screen size, but there could be a good reason for this.
We've already seen multiple reports indicating that Apple's 20th-anniversary iPhone could resemble a single, uninterrupted slab of glass where the metal frame bezels are largely hidden during normal use.
Apple is holding a launch event on September 9th, where we are expecting the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 to appear alongside the new iPhones.
More recent reporting points the other way and says not to expect a major redesign, so we would put considerably more weight on the latter unless physical leaks start appearing.
What this adds
These specifications suggest only a modest increase in overall screen size compared to the iPhone 18 Pro models, which feature 6.27-inch and 6.86-inch displays, respectively.

What's still developing
- Bloomberg reported in June that Apple had started ramping up work on two sizes of the 20th anniversary iPhone.
- The Series 12 should retain the case design introduced with Series 10, including the current display sizes.
- Leaked internal Apple code reportedly points to a new chip this year.
- The display took place around 11pm, just as thousands of music fans were leaving an Evanescence gig as the nearby Co-op Live.
- An Oasis tour announcement appears to be officially on the way, with a huge drone display lighting up the skies above Manchester.
- And after weeks of teasing and cryptic videos, hints on X, and leaked dates, we finally know when Oasis will be announcing their 2027 tour for real.
- If you believe the leaks, the dates for Oasis 2027 in Manchester will be June 4, 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 16, 19, 20, 23, 26 and 27.
- Neither Samsung nor Corning has announced the technology, and Samsung's existing display patents do not confirm it for the S27 Ultra.
- The leak claims Samsung and Corning are working on a self-healing Gorilla Armor coating, but basic details remain unknown, including whether working samples exist, what the material would be called and where Samsung would use it on the phone.
- That is much closer to what "self-healing display" normally suggests: minor surface damage disappearing without replacing the coating or using external repair equipment.
- The Aug. 21 leak is more relevant to the Galaxy S27 Ultra than Samsung's patents because it directly claims Samsung and Corning are developing a self-healing coating for a future generation of Gorilla Armor.
