Cowboys' Dak Prescott Drops Bold Claim After Making History Against Commanders

In Short: Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made history on Sunday, breaking Tony Romo's franchise record for passing touchdowns during a 37-20 victory over the Washington Commanders.
Prescott completed a 24-yard touchdown pass to teammate CeeDee Lamb in the fourth quarter, moving into the top spot on the Cowboys' all-time list with 249 passing touchdowns.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Prescott said, 'This is my time to break this one. Pretty cool to do it against the team I threw my first touchdown against 10 years ago or so. Definitely humbling, something I don't take for granted.
Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million contract in September 2024 to remain with Dallas through the 2028 NFL season.
Prescott is currently 33 years old and has achieved the record in 141 games.
