Ed Gallrein Wins Kentucky's 4th Congressional District Race
· Confirmed
In Short: Republican Ed Gallrein defeated Democrat Melissa Strange in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District race, succeeding outgoing Congressman Thomas Massie.

Republican Ed Gallrein secured victory in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District race, defeating Democrat Melissa Strange in Tuesday's election.
The Associated Press called the race for Gallrein at 7:54 p.m., with 98.79% of the vote counted, showing Gallrein with 54.22% of the vote compared to Strange's 40.86%.
Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL and Kentucky farmer, emphasized his commitment to the district's residents throughout the campaign, saying, 'The most important endorsement I have is of the people of this district.'
Gallrein's political quest was about achieving good governance rather than politics, he said. 'When I’m making decisions about things that are important to the district, I will listen to people, and I will gather that information and do my absolute best to represent what the people really want and make sure that our voice is heard in Washington, which we’ve been lacking,' he stated.
President Donald Trump supported Gallrein and traveled to Northern Kentucky for a campaign rally ahead of the election. 'Your children will never be smarter than AI,' Trump said, highlighting his endorsement of Gallrein.
Gallrein's campaign was the most expensive United States House primary race in history, with more than $35 million spent between Massie and Gallrein. 'This allows me to raise funds to continue my political operations supporting my position as a current office holder and as a potential candidate for federal office,' Massie wrote in a post.
Gallrein, who was picked by Trump to take on incumbent Massie, has leaned heavily on his connection to the president. 'I am a declared Reagan Republican. Smaller government. Less bureaucracy. Peace and prosperity through strength, not war. Lower taxes. Constitutional liberties. Support these folks out here so they can pursue the American dream,' Gallrein said.
