According to Android Authority, the update is rolling out to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, with more features expected to be added in the coming weeks.
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, launched early last year, is now receiving the One UI 9 update, which includes improvements to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, among other features.
Samsung began testing One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy S26, while still finishing the rollout of One UI 9. This update is part of Samsung's ongoing efforts to enhance its software offerings.
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro is designed to be rugged and durable, making it suitable for business environments where reliability is crucial.
In addition to the software update, Samsung is also focusing on battery improvements. The Galaxy A38, a mid-range smartphone, is expected to debut in early 2027 with a 6,000mAh battery, marking a significant upgrade from previous models.
According to 9To5Google, the Galaxy A38's battery capacity represents a 20% increase over Samsung's typical 5,000mAh batteries used in the Galaxy A series for the past few years.
Samsung's commitment to battery improvements is also evident in its latest foldables, where the company has embraced silicon-carbon technology to increase battery capacity.
Samsung's Galaxy S27 series is rumored to include minor battery upgrades, continuing the trend of enhancing battery life across its product lineup.
Samsung's Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are expected to feature the latest M16 OLED material set, providing a significant display upgrade.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra's camera is rumored to have warmer color tuning, marking a shift from the cooler color profile of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
