Seahawks QB Darnold Out for Sunday's Game
Confirmed
In Short: Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold will not play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a quad injury.

Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald announced Wednesday that quarterback Sam Darnold will miss Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a quad injury.
Darnold, who has been struggling with turnovers and injuries this season, will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis, according to Macdonald.
Backup quarterback Drew Lock will start in Darnold's place, making his second start of the season.
Macdonald emphasized that Darnold will not go on injured reserve and has a chance to play in Week 10 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Darnold's absence comes after the Seahawks suffered their fourth defeat in six games against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is on pace for over 2,000 receiving yards, will continue to be a key player for the Seahawks.
What this adds
The Seahawks have not allowed a 100-yard rusher in 36 games, the longest current streak in the league.
