Ravens Finalizing Trade for Brissett
Confirmed
In Short: The Baltimore Ravens are finalizing a trade with the Arizona Cardinals to acquire quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Sources say the deal is expected to be completed this weekend, with the Cardinals sending Brissett to the quarterback-needy Ravens.
Through 11 seasons, Brissett has played in 109 games and thrown 86 touchdowns on 16,485 passing yards.
Brissett, 33, has played for six teams over his career, most recently starting 20 games for the Cardinals.
The Ravens are facing serious injuries at the quarterback position, with Lamar Jackson on injured reserve and Tyler Huntley dealing with a turf toe injury.
The Ravens announced that undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano will make his first career start against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Arizona benched Brissett in favor of Gardner Minshew, who led the Cardinals to an overtime win over the Cowboys.
Brissett negotiated a new contract with the Cardinals, earning him a guaranteed $15.5 million for the 2026 season.
The Ravens have also signed quarterback Austin Reed to their practice squad to address their quarterback depth issues.
What this adds
The trade is expected to tie a franchise record for the Ravens, as they have had no previous starters among their current quarterbacks.
The Ravens have combined for only 44 snaps and 23 passes attempted from their current quarterbacks.
The trade was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.
