Nicole Taylor, one of the identical triplet sisters in the country music group Taylor Red, has died at the age of 35 after a four-year battle with breast cancer. Her sisters, Natalie and Nika Taylor, shared the news in a heartfelt video on November 2, expressing their grief and gratitude that Nicole was no longer suffering.

Nicole, the oldest of the triplet sisters, was known for her lead vocals and her proficiency in playing guitar, violin, and banjo. She co-sang lead on the group's albums, including their debut 'Taylor Red' in 2011, 'The Middle of Nowhere' in 2012, and 'Triplicity' in 2014, which earned a Dove Award nomination for Country Album of the Year.

The sisters were born on March 18, 1991, in Wade, Mississippi, and eventually moved to Nashville to pursue their music career. They first began making music together in 2010 under the name Red Roots before renaming their band Taylor Red in 2018, signing with Inpop Records.

In a video posted on YouTube, Natalie Taylor recalled the moment Nicole received her cancer diagnosis. 'I remember we were out in a public place, and she got a phone call from the nurse about her biopsy results,' Natalie said. 'It was a big shock for us.'

Despite the initial diagnosis, Nicole responded well to treatments and was declared evidence-free of disease. However, the cancer later progressed to stage four, and she lived for another year before her death on September 28. The family held a private funeral service.

The sisters expressed their faith and hope throughout Nicole's battle with cancer. 'During the time of the more extreme diagnosis, we felt led to not live in fear and claim healing,' they said. 'She had so much peace, and we’re really thankful for that.'

In their memorial on the group’s website, the sisters wrote, 'Nicole, the oldest of us three sisters, will be greatly missed. She was our leader and our best friend. We are heartbroken, but we know she is in Heaven and will see her again.'
