ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested on his podcast that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones could be a surprise trade candidate before the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline.

Schefter noted that while the Colts are focused on trading running back Jonathan Taylor and defensive tackle Josh Downs, they could still make a 'curveball' trade involving Jones.

Jones has struggled this season, throwing just five touchdown passes and nine interceptions, while the Colts are 2-6 in his starts.

The Colts have already traded away key players like Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner, indicating they are in a rebuilding phase.

Schefter mentioned the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings as potential landing spots for Jones, given their need for a quarterback and their status as presumed contenders.

The Ravens, with Derrick Henry and a strong defense, and the Vikings, with their own roster needs, could be interested in acquiring Jones to bolster their teams.

Jones himself expressed high hopes for the remainder of the season, stating, "Not only do I have expectations, I have really sound basis of saying, we're better than [what we've shown], and we can improve in the areas that have really frustrated us, especially last week."

While the Colts' long-term future with Jones seems uncertain, Schefter's comments suggest that a trade could happen sooner rather than later, potentially before the deadline.
