Apple Unveils Audio Intelligence Features for Apple Watch Ultra 4

Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 4, featuring a new Health Sensing System, the S11 chip, and a longer battery life, according to The Apple Post.
The Ultra 4 includes a new feature called Readiness, which provides a daily score between zero and 10 based on recent activity, training load, vitals, and sleep information.
The S11 chip powers several new Audio Intelligence features, such as Sound Recognition, Live Rewind, Siri Recap, and faster Shazam, as reported by The Apple Post and Macworld.
The Verge adds that Siri Recap uses ambient listening to generate summaries of conversations, while Live Rewind generates text transcripts of the last 15 seconds of audio detected by the watch’s microphone.
Apple has also redesigned the pedometer model and introduced new machine-learning algorithms, making the Ultra 4 the most accurate Apple Watch for step counting, according to The Apple Post.
Macworld notes that the Ultra 4 has increased normal battery life from 42 hours to 50 hours, and Low Power Mode from 72 to 84 hours, with workout modes capable of tracking for up to 45 hours.
Newscord quotes Apple as saying that these Audio Intelligence features do not create or store audio recordings, and that raw audio used for processing is completely inaccessible to the operating systems, apps, the user, or Apple.
A dedicated Siri app will allow conversations to sync across Apple devices, enabling users to continue discussions started on an iPhone from an iPad.
Innovation-Village reports that Apple has introduced new hardware, software upgrades, and AI-powered features across its ecosystem, including the long-awaited OLED iPad mini and refreshed M6-powered Macs.
Techrepublic notes that a compatible iPhone is also part of the equation if Audio Intelligence is a reason to consider the Series 12.
Apple says iOS 27 will launch this autumn, with Siri AI beginning to roll out in English later this year.
