Mourners attended the funeral of five Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza, despite a ceasefire that was supposed to end the war and release thousands of Palestinian detainees.

Since the war began, 74,594 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the territory's health ministry.

Israel says it is targeting Hamas, but often civilians are also killed. The Palestinian Ministry of Health condemned the “horrific massacre” and called on the international community to take urgent action.

According to hospital sources, at least eight Palestinians, including a child, were killed by Israeli military strikes in Gaza on Sunday. The Israeli military said it targeted Palestinian fighters in three strikes, but provided no further details.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,593 Palestinians since the ceasefire began in October 2025, and wounded 5,748 others.
