· ConfirmedShare on
In Short: Ukraine's foreign minister has called for a ban on Russian athletes, following a decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to overturn a ban on Russia's participation in international ice hockey events.

The CAS decision, announced on Sunday, upheld Russia's appeal against the International Ice Hockey Federation's (IIHF) decision to exclude Russia from events in the 2026-27 season, including the men's and women's world championships.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has criticized President Donald Trump's decision to allow Russian diesel imports, saying that Russia thanked the lifting of sanctions by dropping glide bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia, killing 20 people, including three children.
Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine communicates its need for Patriot missiles to the US, Europe, and other partners every day.
Emergency responders in Ukraine's Vinnytsia region reported a rare humanitarian ceasefire in the Kherson region that allowed civilians to evacuate the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky, but the ceasefire has now ended.
The oldest evacuee was 94 years old, while the youngest was one, according to Ukraine's human rights ombudsman, Dmytro Lubinets.
