Canelo Alvarez Challenges for WBC Super Middleweight Title
· Confirmed
In Short: Canelo Alvarez returns to challenge Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 31.

Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring on October 31 to challenge Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Alvarez, 36, last fought in September 2025, when he lost his super middleweight titles to Terence Crawford in a unanimous decision.
Mbilli, 31, captured the WBC interim title with a first-round TKO victory over Maciej Sulecki in June 2025.
Alvarez, a three-division world champion, is a clear favorite at -330 odds, according to DraftKings.
Alvarez expressed his excitement about the fight, saying, “This is very important for me. I’ve been doing this for the last 21 years. I won my first title 16 years ago, so it’s very important for me to be here to take that title and obviously get back into that world championship corner.”
Alvarez's opponent, Mbilli, has not fought since the same card where he went to a draw with Lester Martinez.
Alvarez's strategy involves standing his ground in the middle of the ring, countering Mbilli's attacks with uppercuts and hooks.
Mbilli, on the other hand, starts moving backwards, trying to box with Canelo a lot in this fight.
The fight will be livestreamed on DAZN starting at 1 p.m. For $79.99.
