Vance Calls for Investigation into Alleged Democratic Ballot Scheme
Confirmed
In Short: Vice President JD Vance has called for an investigation into an alleged Democratic ballot scheme in Alaska.

Vice President JD Vance has called for an investigation into an alleged Democratic ballot scheme in Alaska, where Democrats are accused of using unethical strategies to take votes away from Republican Senator Dan Sullivan.
During a town hall, Vance stated, 'If it's not illegal, it should be,' in response to allegations that the Democratic campaign of U.S. Representative Mary Peltola attempted to confuse voters in the Senate race.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky) launched an investigation on Thursday, October 29, into these allegations, arguing that Democrats are 'the party of fraud' and that the scheme is part of a broader pattern of misconduct.
Alaska's Governor Mike Dunleavy has ordered the Alaska Department of Public Safety to investigate whether Peltola, her campaign, or national Democratic groups violated state law.
In a separate development, federal agents raided the Washington, DC, home of Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) as part of a criminal investigation, with Vance previously stating that the Trump administration would investigate Omar over allegations of immigration fraud.
Vance also announced that the Trump administration is suspending Microsoft, Adobe, and other companies from a key employment-based green-card program, accusing them of abusing the visa system at the expense of American workers.
Vance emphasized the importance of Republicans gaining full control in Washington to push through tax cuts, tackle inflation, and strengthen border enforcement.
At a Senate hearing, Vance and other Republicans criticized Jack Smith's handling of the Trump investigation, with Vance drawing a sharp line between President Trump’s record and what he described as the 'anti-American' agenda of the Democrat Party.
What this adds
The investigation into Omar's citizenship and potential deportation is a new development, with Vance's administration aiming to build a case against her.
The allegations of ballot confusion in Alaska are being investigated by multiple bodies, including the House Oversight Committee and the Alaska Department of Public Safety.
