XREAL AURA: Wired XR Glasses Launched
· Confirmed
In Short: XREAL AURA, the first wired XR glasses powered by Android XR, were officially launched today by XREAL and Google.

These lightweight glasses project apps into the user's field of view while allowing them to remain connected to their surroundings.
The glasses feature Gemini AI to assist with tasks across multiple screens.
Shahram Izadi, VP and GM of XR at Google, introduced the product, highlighting its ability to manage multiple windows and view digital content in 3D.
The XREAL AURA glasses weigh less than 95 grams and feature a 70-degree field of view, Sony Micro-OLED displays with 1200p resolution at 120Hz, and audio tuned by Bose.
Unlike conventional VR headsets, the Aura lets users interact with digital content while still seeing what’s happening in the real world.
The glasses require a tethered “puck-like” device to house the components that power Android XR.
Users can order the XREAL AURA glasses today at xreal.com or BestBuy.com.
The glasses are available to pre-order in the US, Canada, Japan, and South Korea, with shipping expected to begin in mid-November.
The launch price in the US is $1,099, which will be available through the end of the year.
Google has announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with XREAL, officially naming the AR glasses maker a lead hardware partner for the Android XR ecosystem.
