Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, is set to return to the ring on December 24 in Dubai, marking his comeback almost a year after suffering a broken jaw in his loss to Anthony Joshua.

Paul, who is 29 and has a record of 12-2 with 7 knockouts, was cleared to resume full-contact training earlier this month. His return will be the first since his defeat by Joshua in December.

In a press release, Paul said, 'I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face. Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey.'

The event, organized by Most Valuable Promotions, will take place in Dubai, UAE, and will be the first boxing event on Christmas Eve. Paul’s return will test whether he can rebuild momentum after the Joshua loss.

Paul suffered fractures to his jaw that required multiple surgeries in December and February. Despite the setback, he remains confident about his career prospects.

The December date puts Paul back in the ring during a typically quiet period for boxing's major promotions. No opponent has been announced for the Christmas Eve card.

In a statement, Bidarian said, 'Jake Paul has spent his career challenging what people think is possible.'

What this adds

The event will also serve as a platform for Paul to prove his resilience and determination in the boxing world.
