Google Rolls Out Personalized Gemini for In-Car Use
· Confirmed
In Short: Gemini is already available globally on Android Auto and vehicles with Google built-in, but Personal Intelligence takes things further by connecting information from Google services that drivers already use.

Google is rolling out Personal Intelligence for Gemini on Android Auto and Android Automotive, offering personalized responses based on users' Google services. The feature is rolling out today to Android Auto, with Android Automotive availability in the coming months.
Personal Intelligence taps into Google Workspace, including Gmail, Calendar, Photos, Maps, Search, and YouTube, to personalize responses. Users can ask Gemini for flight gate information, find indoor restaurants along their route, and manage appointments without manual lookups.
If users do not opt for Personal Intelligence, they can still use navigation, listen to music, make calls, and ask questions, but the answers won’t be tailored to them.
Gemini can retrieve personal information and combine details from different sources into a single response. For example, a driver can ask Gemini to locate a business from a previously captured photo or navigate to a medical appointment without providing an address.
The assistant can also reference calendar information to determine destinations and provide tailored recommendations for the day.
Google says Personal Intelligence extends into recommendations and everyday planning, making it easier for drivers to manage tasks without reaching for their phones.
The feature is rolling out to personal Google accounts for users aged 18 and older. Google Maps integration is also expanding to searches and saved places.
By connecting personal data with in-car assistance, Google is turning the vehicle into another point of access to its AI ecosystem.
