Skydance Names Leadership Team for Combined Paramount and Warner Bros
Confirmed
In Short: Paramount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) announced its CEO Leadership Team (CLT) to lead the combined company, set to be named Skydance.

Paramount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) announced its CEO Leadership Team (CLT) to lead the combined company, set to be named Skydance, following the anticipated close of Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. The team will be led by David Ellison, who expressed his pride in introducing a group that reflects the ambition behind this historic combination.
Ellison stated, “Together, Paramount and Warner Bros. will form a creative-first home with the scale, imagination, and technology to define entertainment for a generation. The leaders joining me have built some of the most beloved franchises and businesses in the industry, and they share a deep respect for the creative process and a belief that great stories have the power to entertain, unite, and inspire audiences around the world.”
The newly formed Skydance will include a corporate umbrella that Ellison has been using for two decades. The leadership team will be responsible for integrating two huge film studios, four streaming services, three TV production studios, three animation units, and more than 50 television networks, including prominent news organizations like CNN.
Ynon Kreiz, who joined Ellison at Skydance as co-CEO earlier this week, will work closely with Ellison to advance the Company’s strategic priorities across its businesses. Andy Gordon, President of Skydance, will also work closely with Ellison and Kreiz to advance the Company’s strategic priorities.
The leadership team will include Bryon Rubin as COO of the Skydance TV group, which will include oversight of the CBS Television Stations group. Channing Dungey will officially remain in control of Warner Bros. TV Studios, while also overseeing the combined company’s roster of 50-plus cable channels.
George Cheeks, Paramount TV/Media chair, set his new leadership team and structure for the company’s cable brands, including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and more. The company’s cable brands will focus on a “more curated” slate, leaning on franchises such as “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Paw Patrol,” and “The Daily Show” while also developing new intellectual property.
Ellison and his team must maintain the studio facilities in Los Angeles, making “reasonable efforts to operate the lots in a manner consistent with past practices,” according to the agreement.
The goal is to “win in storytelling,” Skydance said in an investor presentation. The new structure will be heavy on familiar names, with many holdovers from the existing Paramount TV leadership team.
Ellison pulled off his bold feat this week by completing Paramount’s $111-billion takeover of Warner Bros., uniting two industry pioneers and a wealth of cherished properties, including Batman, Bugs Bunny, Harry Potter, and Maverick of “Top Gun,” as well as CBS, HBO, Comedy Central, and CNN.
The company’s leadership team will be expected to immediately lead this massive integration, according to Fubini, a former partner at consulting firm McKinsey.
Ellison can proclaim victory after settling a lawsuit with state attorneys general that held up his company’s merger with Warner Bros.
The company said Cheeks will also play a key leadership role in the firm’s global strategic communications practice.
