Harry Styles has released a new music video for his single 'Coming Up Roses,' which showcases a ballroom dance sequence filled with eccentric characters.
The video, directed by Emil Nava, opens with Styles in a ballroom, warming up with squats before attempting basic dance steps with various partners.
Among the characters are a pregnant waitress, a man in a neck brace, and a denim-clad cowboy, each adding a unique twist to the dance.
During the song's orchestral instrumental, Styles and his classmates watch as their instructor performs an inspiring solo routine, incorporating birdlike movements.
Styles sings, 'As I fumble my words and fall flat on my face through the truth/ Just say the word and we’ll take up the test,' reflecting on the impermanence of love.
The video also features the line, 'Just for tonight, let’s go hangover chasing/ And I’ll talk your ear off about why it’s safe,' highlighting the fleeting nature of romantic moments.
'Coming Up Roses' is the fourth track from Styles' March album 'Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,' which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Styles discussed the album's inspiration during a conversation with Thom Yorke for Rolling Stone's Musicians on Musicians series.
The singer is currently on his 'Together, Together' tour, which includes a residency at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, set to conclude on October 31.
Famed documentary director John Wilson has been filming Styles at MSG since August, capturing footage for a documentary expected to blend live performances with a glimpse into Styles' world.
Following his Arizona shows, Styles will perform in cities including Arlington, Pasadena, Toronto, Chicago, Berlin, Nanterre, Madrid, Rome, and Dublin.
