OKC's Williams taken off with significant injury
Confirmed
In Short: Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams was taken off the court with a significant injury to his left leg.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams was taken off the court on a stretcher after suffering a significant injury to his lower left leg during Sunday night's 108-101 win over the LA Clippers.
Williams was injured while being fouled on a drive with 1:14 remaining in the fourth quarter. He brought his hands to his mouth and then his head when he looked at the injury while sitting on the hardwood.
Team officials have not yet provided a diagnosis, but coach Mark Daigneault said the team would be briefed Monday morning with the latest updates on Williams' condition.
Teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander buried his face in his jersey and bent down near Williams, showing his concern for his injured teammate.
That's who he is.... It's unfortunate, his luck so far. But he's equipped for it," Gilgeous-Alexander said, adding, "He just loves playing, loves the competition.
"It's obviously going to be tough without a player like that. But he's not gone forever. He'll be back better than ever, and we know it. We've just got to hold the fort down until he comes back," Gilgeous-Alexander continued.
Williams missed 49 games last season with an array of issues, mostly hamstring problems and recovery from a significant surgery on his right wrist.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson appeared on ESPN 1000 Chicago and spoke to play-by-play announcer Jeff Joniak, before revealing Williams’ official status and potential timeline for his return.
While no quarterbacks technically reached that “elite” mark, Williams’ 57.3 completion percentage during the regular season and playoffs ranked dead last among QBs with 300+ attempts.
What this adds
The incident occurred during a crucial moment in the game, with Williams being fouled on a drive near the end of the fourth quarter.
Williams' injury is the latest in a series of setbacks for the Thunder, who have had to contend with significant player absences this season.
