· Confirmed
In Short: The trailer for Season 3, revealed by Prime Video, offers a glimpse into a darker and more chaotic Middle-earth.

Prime Video has officially confirmed that the third season of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' will debut on November 11, following a two-year hiatus, according to Collider and Themovieblog. The series has attracted more than 185 million viewers worldwide, making it one of Amazon's most successful original productions.
Aboutamazon (India) reported that Season 2 of the series premieres on August 29 exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Meanwhile, Get Your Comic On (United Kingdom) noted that Season 3 will begin with four episodes on November 11, followed by two episodes weekly through November 25.
The trailer for Season 3, revealed by Prime Video, offers a glimpse into a darker and more chaotic Middle-earth. According to Deadline, the season takes place seven years after the events of Season 2, during the War of the Elves and Sauron. Gandalf, played by an unnamed actor, grapples with his identity as a wizard and faces a Dark Wizard who tries to influence him.
Hindustan Times (India) and TV Insider reported that the trailer shows Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) with her long-lost husband, Celeborn (Jamie Campbell Bower), and civil war in Númenor. The trailer also highlights battles between elves and orcs, as dwarves bend the knee to Sauron.
As this trailer makes clear, they won’t be the only ones serving the One Ring and the Dark Lord who wields it.'
The Hollywood Reporter and TVLine reported that the series is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. Payne previously told Empire magazine, “We have a full-on villain this season, in a way that was quite different before,” with McKay adding, “This third season is darker, more dangerous … No one is safe.”
Variety and Vitalthrills reported that the trailer showcases the intensifying conflict as Sauron’s quest to forge the One Ring intensifies. Variety quoted a source saying, 'His terrifying Ring-servants, the Nazgnagôl, roam Middle-Earth clad in black armor as tensions rise among the Elves trying desperately to hold the front lines; familial ties are strained among the Dwarves in Khazad-dûm; political factions push the island kingdom of Númenor to the brink of civil war; and in the eastern lands of Rhûn, Gandalf enlists his full powers of magic and persuasion as he fights to turn the tide of impending darkness.'
Despite the differing details provided by various publications, all agree that the trailer for 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Season 3 reveals a darker and more intense storyline, with Sauron's forces growing stronger and the remaining kingdoms struggling to fight back.
The series has never been a show that skimped on its visuals and battles, but the trailer for season 3 makes it clear the ante has been upped significantly, according to Winter is Coming.
