Nscale and Anthropic are reportedly in talks for another $45 billion compute deal, according to TechCrunch. This comes just a month after the two companies announced a similar deal.

Sources close to the matter told Bloomberg that the companies are on the verge of announcing the deal, which would be the latest in a series of massive compute agreements.

Nscale, an AI infrastructure provider, and Anthropic, an AI company, are both pursuing initial public offerings (IPOs). However, Nscale is facing investor pushback over its proposed valuation of $30 billion.

The massive investments in AI compute deals have raised concerns among some investors who worry about excessive spending without sufficient profit.

TechCrunch reached out to both companies for more information but has not received a response.

Anthropic has already signed a seven-year, $11.6 billion cloud deal with Akamai Technologies, and the company has reportedly closed compute deals worth $517 billion in just eleven months.

CEO Dario Amodei warned in December 2025 that Anthropic could face bankruptcy if its revenue estimates were off by even a small margin.

Nscale’s founder and CEO, Josh Payne, praised Simo's ability to understand the demands of scaling products used by billions of people.

Despite the risks, Anthropic continues to pursue such partnerships, driven by the belief that they will ultimately pay off.

The company is still expected to go public this year, and Nscale is reportedly trying to raise up to $3.5 billion ahead of its planned IPO.
