· Confirmed
In Short: Miley Cyrus honored her late godmother, Dolly Parton, during a concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16.

Miley Cyrus honored her late godmother, Dolly Parton, during a concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16. Cyrus reflected on seeing Parton perform live at the same venue years ago, expressing her deep connection to Parton's legacy.
Cyrus told the audience that the only time she had seen Parton perform live was at the Hollywood Bowl. Despite Parton inviting her to join her onstage, Cyrus chose to experience the concert as a fan, a decision she now understands more deeply.
"Like so many things Dolly did, that I didn't understand it at the time, sitting here with you all right now, feeling her all around me, knowing that she's right here beside me everyday, all the time, more than she could be when she was here," Cyrus said to the crowd.
Cyrus also performed Parton's hit song "Jolene," during which she broke down in tears, holding a photo of Parton in a heart-shaped frame.
"The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they'll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts," Cyrus wrote on social media.
Cyrus' tribute came as she returned to the stage following the September release of her 10th studio album, "Bass Persuades." She shared her excitement about performing at the iconic Hollywood Bowl for the first time.
"I've sat in those seats many times, but I've never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I'm bringing it home," Cyrus said.
Cyrus also mentioned that she and Parton were eternal, and that nothing could tear them apart. She joked about Parton hearing her say the F-word, a reference to Parton's strict moral code.
"Me and Dolly, we are eternal. Nothing in this life could tear us apart," Cyrus said through tears.
Cyrus' performance included songs from her new album, with special guests Model/Actriz and The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne joining her on stage.
"I spend a lot of time backstage and if she had it her way, when she was playing a show, I’d be standing right beside her in a matching costume. And so, when I was coming to the show at the Bowl to see her, I said, ‘You know, I would love a night where I could just experience you, I could just enjoy you like the rest of the world,’" Cyrus said.
Cyrus' tribute to Parton was a heartfelt moment for fans and the entertainment industry, highlighting the impact Parton had on her life and career.
