Apple has officially launched preorders for the iPhone Duo, priced at $1,999, with the first units set to ship on October 23. The device is available in two colors: star white and night sky.
According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone Duo can be preordered through Apple's website or the Apple Store app. The device features a 5.4-inch outer display that unfolds into a 7.6-inch inner display.
AppleInsider and The Economic Times reported that the iPhone Duo preorders began at 5:00 a.m. on October 16, 2026. The device is now available in more than 70 countries and regions.
The iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip and includes an under-display camera for selfies and FaceTime. It also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
AppleInsider noted that wireless carriers are offering incentives for the iPhone Duo, including up to $1,200 in bill credits with eligible trade-ins. Some carriers are also offering monthly pricing starting at $55 per month.
The device includes several software optimizations, such as Split View multitasking and seamless app switching. Apple also announced a new feature called iPhone Handoff, which allows users to use the same number on two different phones.
Apple's store teams are available to assist with trade-ins, carrier offers, financing, and Personal Setup. The device is also compatible with Apple Pay and Siri AI voice assistant.
According to CNET, the iPhone Duo will be available in stores and begin reaching customers on October 23. However, some customers have reported that their delivery dates have been pushed back to January.
AppleInsider reported that the iPhone Duo preorders are live, with the aforementioned queue. The device is now available for pre-order on Apple's website and the Apple Store app.
The iPhone Duo's camera system includes a single 18 MP multi-aspect, f/1.9, 20mm (ultrawide) camera with HDR, Dolby Vision HDR, and 3D (spatial) audio.
