One Of Netflix’s Best Shows Is Back With A 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score
· Confirmed
In Short: The film has received mixed reviews, with critics giving it a 23% score on Rotten Tomatoes, while viewers have rated it more favorably at 63%.

Back In Action, directed by Seth Gordon and starring Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, hit Netflix on Friday, following the duo's roles as former CIA agents pulled back into international intrigue.
The film has received mixed reviews, with critics giving it a 23% score on Rotten Tomatoes, while viewers have rated it more favorably at 63%. Diaz's return to film after announcing her retirement in 2018 has been noted, with reports suggesting she earned a significant paycheck for the role.
Ben Kenigsberg of The New York Times commented, 'Mostly, the familiarity takes its toll,' while another viewer noted, 'It reminds me of early 00s films, doesn't take itself too seriously and a bit of family fun. Some people take films like this too seriously. It does what it says on the tin.'
Despite the mixed reception, many viewers enjoyed the film's chemistry between Diaz and Foxx, describing it as 'fun to watch' and 'definitely worth watching.' One viewer stated, 'I really enjoyed this movie, it was fun to watch and Cameron Diaz is back, at least for this one movie, and I’ve really missed her movies since she pretty much retired.'
In contrast, some critics were less impressed, with one noting, 'It also shows that she should be far more discerning with how she chooses to share it.' Another viewer added, 'I actually thought it was an easy watch,' indicating the film's accessibility.
While Back In Action has garnered attention for Diaz's return, other films and series have also seen strong reviews and ratings.
DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island, for instance, has opened in cinemas to strong reviews, earning a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes from 68 critics.
The series Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage, was very popular with critics (92% on Rotten Tomatoes with a 90% audience score) and was nominated for 11 Emmy Awards, the most for any Prime Video show this year, but it will not return for a second season.
Invincible, a show on Prime Video, has continued to be one of the platform's best, with excellent Rotten Tomatoes scores, and Resident Evil has also received high ratings, with IGN giving it an 8 out of 10 and strong scores on Rotten Tomatoes.
Forgotten Island, set in the Philippines in the 1990s, centers on Jo, an energetic and imaginative student, and Raissa, her more pragmatic best friend, voiced by H.E.R.
The film has been praised for its emotional storytelling, visual style, and voice performances, with Variety noting that it is 'A Delightful Animated Celebration of Friendship and Filipino Culture.'
While Back In Action has received mixed reviews, other films and series have seen strong critical and audience reception, highlighting the varied landscape of streaming content.
