Argon has demonstrated superior performance on benchmarks across critical economic sectors, ranking #1 on the Vals Index.

The model has been used to procedurally sculpt, rig, animate, and PBR-bake a complex 3D game, and to build a highly detailed model of a Pagoda using multi-agent visual critique loops.

Argon also helped teams increase agentic code submissions by more than 35% while reducing code rollbacks by nearly a third.

Google is offering Argon at an introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens at 95% off.

Developers will get 50 percent discounted API rates through November.

Google has started rolling out Gemini 4 Argon to the Gemini app for paid subscribers, with the feature rolling out gradually to eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US.

Google is shrinking free Gemini down to its smallest model and plans to expand access first to paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Google AI Plus subscribers will lose the ability to select Pro models in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search from November 13, 2026.
