Alternativa Distribution Expands Slate With 'No Good Men' and 'Four Daughters'

'No Good Men,' directed by Shahrbanoo Sadat and based on Anwar Hashimi's writings, will be one of the films presented at MIPCOM. The film, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, follows Naru, the only female camerawoman at a Kabul TV station, who believes there are no good men in Afghanistan.

'Four Daughters,' directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, won the L’Œil d’Or for Best Documentary at Cannes. The film will also be showcased at MIPCOM, alongside other acclaimed titles featured at Venice and the Berlinale.

In addition to 'No Good Men' and 'Four Daughters,' Alternativa Distribution will present 'Lost Land' by Akio Fujimoto and 'Elephants in the Fog' by Abinash Bikram Shah to buyers at MIPCOM.

The fledgling distributor has acquired several other festival and award-nominated movies ahead of MIPCOM, further solidifying its commitment to representing exceptional films with strong awards and festival pedigree.

Background

No Good Men is a 2026 autobiographical drama film written and directed by Shahrbanoo Sadat, based on Anwar Hashimi's writings. Starring Sadat and Hashimi, it follows Naru, the only female camerawoman at a Kabul TV station, who is convinced there are no good men in Afghanistan.
