French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot visited Israel, spending Wednesday at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv and Kibbutz Be’eri, a Gaza border community hit hard during the Hamas-led onslaught.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham wrote that London remembers those “senselessly killed” by Hamas terrorists, adding that antisemitic behavior in the UK has risen since the attack.

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas wrote that “Hamas brought unspeakable suffering to the Israeli people and left devastation in its wake,” adding that Hamas must disarm for the Gaza Peace Plan to move forward.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement Tuesday condemning the “abhorrent” Hamas attack while also calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

The National Security Council issued an alert Tuesday for Israelis abroad ahead of Wednesday’s third anniversary of October 7, calling on them to exercise “heightened vigilance” due to concerns over terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, earlier Tuesday, ambassadors from European Union countries in Israel visited Kibbutz Nir Oz to mark three years since the massacre, holding a memorial tour at the community.

In contrast, Iran and Hamas celebrated the anniversary, with Hamas hailing the attack as an “extraordinary military achievement” that “shattered” Israel’s security doctrine.

Despite the differing reactions, leaders from around the world agreed on the need to combat antisemitism and terrorism, and to work towards a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace and security.
