While Ronan is currently filming Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopic, Lowden is starring in Apple TV’s spy dramedy “Slow Horses.”

When asked about the speculation, Ronan quipped, “Well, Gary Oldman thinks [Jack] is James Bond which is its own thing.” Oldman, who stars alongside Lowden in “Slow Horses,” has suggested Lowden is on the shortlist for the role.

Ronan further downplayed the rumors, saying, “It’s not really a subject that’s coming up in our house to be honest; the dog needs to be worked, the dinner needs to be made.”

Despite the buzz, official news about the next Bond film remains scarce. Steven Knight, creator of “Peaky Blinders,” is writing the script, and Denis Villeneuve, director of “Dune,” is set to direct.

The last Bond film, “No Time to Die,” was released in 2021, with Daniel Craig’s tenure as the iconic character ending after 15 years.
