PlayStation has integrated a new Crunchyroll anime hub into its PS5 console, offering a variety of anime content. The hub, known as 'It's Anime,' was launched on Sept. 21, 2026, and includes 18 rotating anime programs available for streaming daily.

The expansion of 'It's Anime' on the PS5 follows its initial launch in North America on Samsung TV Plus in July 2025. The service is now also available on Pluto TV and Amazon Prime Video.

According to Comic Book Resources, the hub will feature Tomodachi Talks, the first original program on 'It's Anime,' hosted by prominent anime voice actors SungWon Cho and A.J. Beckles. The series will include engaging discussions between the hosts and other industry creatives.

IGN reported that Sony is also working on an anime adaptation of the popular game 'Ghost of Tsushima,' which will be exclusive to Sony-owned Crunchyroll in 2027. The series will focus on the Legends co-op multiplayer portion of the game.

Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini commented, 'The Ghost of Tsushima anime will offer fans an exciting new way to experience the game in an anime style that will be bold and groundbreaking.'

The new anime hub on PS5 aims to make Crunchyroll an integral part of the console's home-screen experience, aligning the company's anime projects and anime-inspired games more closely.

PlayStation Productions head Asad Qizilbash added, 'Having already proven the immense quality and versatility of our gaming properties across multiple successful film and television projects, we couldn’t be more excited to announce our first ever anime adaptation.'

The hub will also feature content from other providers such as Amazon MGM Studios, FOX, NBCUniversal, NFL Channel, and UFC, among others.

PlayStation president and CEO Hideaki Nishino announced the partnership at the inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Future Forum, emphasizing the importance of meeting fans where they already are.

The PS5-Crunchyroll news was announced on Wednesday, with plans to expand the FAST channel offering globally in the coming months.

The integration of Crunchyroll into the PS5 console's home screen is part of Sony's strategy to provide a seamless and comprehensive entertainment experience for its users.

The new anime hub on PS5 is expected to attract a wide range of anime enthusiasts and gamers, offering a diverse selection of content and original programming.
