In Short: The Government has established a high-level committee, led by Cabinet Secretary B G Deshmukh, to probe the incident.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained six individuals from Delhi and surrounding areas for questioning in connection with the attack on the Prime Minister's life on October 2.

A CBI officer stated, 'We are close on his heels,' indicating the ongoing pursuit of those involved.

When asked about negotiations, Prime Minister Singh replied, 'Why should I talk with Ghisingh?' suggesting a reluctance to engage in dialogue.

Leakage of sensitive military data, particularly concerning the Himalayan region, has raised concerns within defense circles.
