Remote-Controlled Wagon Surprises Tech Reviewer
Developing
In Short: A remote-controlled wagon with animated lighting impresses a tech reviewer despite initial skepticism.
Tech reviewer and writer for The Verge initially approached the remote-controlled wagon, the DuneRover, with skepticism, expecting it to be a joke.
However, the DuneRover proved to be surprisingly useful, capable of traversing soft sand and flattening hills even when carrying over 200 pounds of gear.
The reviewer noted that the wagon's remote control feature allows for precise maneuvering, stopping even on a 10 percent grade with a heavy load.
The DuneRover is available at an early-bird price of $467, a claimed 48 percent discount off the eventual $899 list price.
The reviewer, who regularly uses various wagons for hauling gear, found the DuneRover to be a significant improvement over traditional models.
What's still developing
- Confession: When BougeRV told me about its remote-controlled wagon with animated lighting, I called it in for a laugh, expecting to eviscerate it in a review.
- That way, you can decide whether it makes sense to lock down early-bird pricing at $467, a claimed 48 percent discount off the eventual $899 list price. (Though I’ll wager it’ll always be sold for some kind of discount.) Frankly, $500 isn’t outlandish for a wagon.
- It can also traverse soft sand that defeats conventional wagons.
