Fremantle has appointed Sharon Levy as CEO of Fremantle Americas & Australia, effective in January 2027. Levy will report to Fremantle Group CEO Jennifer Mullin and oversee the company’s production operations in the U.S., Mexico, and Australia.
Levy joins Fremantle from Banijay, where she served as CEO of Endemol Shine North America. She will be based in Fremantle’s Los Angeles offices and will manage the company’s production labels, customer relationships, talent partnerships, creative development, and production slate across the three markets.
Mullin praised Levy, stating, “Sharon is an exceptional executive with a proven ability to build businesses, develop talent and deliver outstanding content.” Levy’s appointment is part of Fremantle’s broader global growth strategy.
Levy’s career includes overseeing the acquisition, development, and production of scripted, unscripted, and documentary programming at Spike TV, such as 'Ink Master,' 'Bar Rescue,' 'Auction Hunters,' and 'Deadliest Warrior.'
Levy’s role at Fremantle will include regional responsibilities previously held by Mullin. She will also join Fremantle’s Global Leadership Team and will be responsible for driving strategic growth and overseeing all aspects of Fremantle’s operations across the Americas and Australia.
Levy is a Peabody Award recipient and Emmy-nominated producer, and has been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Most Powerful Producers in Unscripted TV list. She has overseen shows such as 'Fear Factor: House of Fear,' 'Lego Masters,' 'MasterChef,' 'Deal or No Deal Island,' and 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.'
During her time at Endemol Shine, Levy oversaw a portfolio of US franchises including 'MasterChef' and 'Lego Masters,' as well as recent launches such as 'Deal or No Deal Island,' 'The Summit,' and 'Fear Factor: House of Fear.'
Levy also launched Banijay Launch, an international accelerator program for creators spanning more than 30 territories, and expanded the company’s scripted slate with the series 'Ripley' and the HBO Max international co-production 'Like Water for Chocolate.'
