The Pentagon has provided few details about the March 1 strike that killed six soldiers and wounded many others.

Some soldiers say they have faced inadequate medical care and bureaucratic barriers since the attack.

"We have the right to know what really happened," said Tina Marzan, whose husband, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, was killed in the strike.

"Out of respect for the primary next of kin who will be scheduled for briefs on the official findings of the completed investigation, we will not comment on specific details, individual accounts, or leaked portions of the report at this time," the Army said in a statement.

The criticism comes as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Rep. Pete Aguilar criticize President Donald Trump and his policies, highlighting the approaching midterm elections.

John Kennedy, R-La., also criticized Republican leadership, including the Trump administration’s handling of the Ukraine peace process and Senate leaders’ response to inflation woes.

"This guy’s a pirate. He’s got blood under his fingernails. He doesn’t care about a bunch of pretty talk," Kennedy said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kennedy also expressed doubt that Republicans in Congress would be able to address inflation before November’s midterm elections.

"You don’t get any credit for kissing his ass. You’ve got to show him you mean business," Kennedy added.

"Then we ought to help Ukraine and help Europe. They’re doing OK on their own, but we can provide them intelligence," Kennedy said.

"I’m not putting down any of the talk, and I think talk is good and it can be helpful. But I won’t faint with surprise if our guys don’t come out of there without a deal," Kennedy concluded.
