During a play that was blown dead, Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II shoved Wilson into Hill, causing the referee to fall backward to the ground.

Wilson, seeing Hill on the ground, extended his arms to help him up, but Hill refused the assistance and began yelling at Wilson instead.

Hill's behavior was deemed unacceptable by the league, which reviewed the incident and decided to suspend him for one game.

Line judge Jeff Seeman also received a two-game suspension for his own unprofessional conduct during the game.

Wilson explained that he had no malintent and that he had apologized to Hill, who initially seemed to understand the situation.

"I ended up apologizing to him and explained the situation. He was cool about it. He understood what was going on," Wilson said.

However, Hill's reaction escalated, and he ordered Wilson away after getting in his face, leading to a verbal exchange between the two.

"Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard," a CBS Sports source commented.

The incident highlights the NFL's commitment to maintaining professional conduct among officials and players, even in heated moments of the game.
