From Magneto to Sabra the Jewish stories inside comic books

In Short: The modern-day Marvel Cinematic Universe has erased the original Jewish roots of its characters, critics say.
The modern-day Marvel Cinematic Universe has come under criticism for erasing the original Jewish context of its characters, according to a report by Hey Alma.
Hey Alma notes that both Marvel and DC comic books are filled with motifs rooted in Jewish persecution, such as the refugee experience of Superman and the tracking of a population in 'Captain America: Civil War.'
The X-Men, in particular, have a strong Jewish foundation. The first X-Men film in 2000 featured a scene where young Erik Lehnsherr, who later becomes Magneto, is separated from his mother at Auschwitz, a trauma that triggers his metal-controlling powers.
Considering the X-Men’s Jewish roots, it would be a tragedy if this same fate befell the X-Men characters, the report adds.
Hey Alma calls for support to maintain its inclusive Jewish community, free and open to all.
