Chiefs Show Interest in Tyreek Hill Reunion
Confirmed
In Short: According to reports from The Athletic’s Michael Silver, the Chiefs are very interested in signing former star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton exited Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with injuries.
Silver reported that Kansas City had already reached out to Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, before Sunday’s game.
Hill, who was drafted by the Chiefs in 2016, played seven seasons with the team, starting 73 regular-season games and recording 479 receptions for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce expressed enthusiasm about a potential reunion, saying, “That’s out of my hands, but I know I’d love to have the cheetah (Tyreek Hill) back in the building.”
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who played alongside Hill during his time in Kansas City, added, “I have no idea, but it’d be pretty cool.”
Hill was released by the Miami Dolphins in February after suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2025.
The Chiefs have been in contact with Hill and Rosenhaus, with ESPN reporting that the team has “remained in contact” with the free agent.
Hill has hinted at his plans to return to the league soon, and is believed to be targeting a November return.
The Chiefs’ interest in Hill has grown following the recent injuries to Rice and Thornton, which have left the team thin at the wide receiver position.
Hill’s potential return to Kansas City could provide a significant boost to the team’s offense, especially given his history of explosive plays, such as his 44-yard catch in Super Bowl LIV that helped ignite the Chiefs’ comeback victory over the 49ers.
What this adds
The reports of the Chiefs' interest in Hill come after the team's win over the Raiders, which saw two key receivers go down with injuries.
The Chiefs have a history of success following trades involving Hill, as the draft picks acquired in the trade that sent Hill to Miami helped the team win two Super Bowls.
