In addition to his work with the Coen brothers, Anderson storyboarded films such as 'Twister,' 'The Addams Family,' 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,' 'Warcraft,' and 'Fool’s Paradise,' as detailed by The Hollywood Reporter.
Anderson also directed two feature films of his own: 'The Naked Man' in 1999 and 'My Mummy' in 2008, Variety reported.
George Willeman, Anderson's co-host on the Filmically Perfect podcast, announced the news on Facebook, stating that they had met a few months prior to discuss relaunching the podcast.
Willeman shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, writing, 'Rest well, JT. We’ll raise a glass to you tonight,' as Variety reported.
The Tom Hanks Center for Motion Pictures at the university also shared a tribute to Anderson on Facebook.
Anderson's contributions to the film industry were recognized with the publication of a book of his storyboards for 'The Big Lebowski,' Variety noted.
