Following his win, Takagi, a member of the Death Riders, issued a challenge to fellow Death Rider member Jon Moxley, the AEW Continental Champion.
Takagi’s callout came during his post-match comments, where he expressed his desire to face Moxley in Japan.
The two have previously squared off twice, with Moxley winning both encounters: once in the 2019 G1 Climax tournament and again at NJPW Battle in the Valley 2024 in a No Disqualification match.
In his post-match comments, Takagi described himself as a 'lively monster' who had bested a 'physical monster,' referring to Castagnoli as 'the world’s greatest physical monster.'
