President Donald Trump campaigned in Ohio Saturday, rallying for Republican candidates in competitive races for Senate and governor, and predicting a 'big surprise' in the midterms.

Trump spoke at a high school gymnasium near Dayton, emphasizing the importance of turning out the same electorate that supported him in 2024.

If you do that, we’re going to win, and we’re going to win big,' Trump told the crowd, adding, 'And we’re going to shove it up their ass.

The rally was seen as crucial for motivating low-propensity, Trump-loyal voters who may not turn out in non-presidential election years.

'If you do that, we’re going to win, and we’re going to win big,' Trump said, addressing the crowd.

'Jon Husted has turned his back on working families — he’s only looking out for his billionaire buddies and special interests,' Democratic rival Tim Ryan said in a statement.

The Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC affiliated with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, has invested $93 million in Ohio to support Republican candidate Jon Husted.

'Senator Jon Husted votes to put Ohio first, and he votes all the time,' Trump said, citing conversations with Thune and others.

'Jon Husted is a lot more than my friend,' an animated Gruden told the audience.

'Nobody speaks to that crowd better than President Trump,' said Alex Triantafilou, the Ohio GOP chair.

'We know in Ohio that if we turn out the same electorate that we turned out in 2024, that we’ll win every race,' Triantafilou said.

'As a lifelong Republican who’s voted in every election since I was 18 and in every primary election as a Republican, I have real concerns that we’re going to be able to turn out the every-four-year Trump voter,' Nick Owens, a former GOP chair in Ohio’s Brown County, told NBC News last month.
